Panah Project is a New York City–based design studio and full-service sample factory founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Morteza Saifi and Evgeniya Khromina. With over 25 years of experience across design, product development, production, and creative leadership, including tenure as former Executive Creative Director of Camuto Group. Morteza leads the studio’s creative and technical vision. Evgeniya brings a background in business, marketing, and sales, guiding strategy, operations, and client partnerships. Under one roof, Panah Project provides hands-on design support, fabric and trim sourcing, pattern making, and sample production for both established brands and emerging designers.

The studio’s foundation traces back to Nairobi, Kenya, where Morteza and Evgeniya originally launched an ethical manufacturing initiative focused on training women in local communities to produce luxury-quality garments for the international market. Over five years, more than 50 full-time jobs were created with fair wages and long-term opportunity; shaping the values that continue to inform the studio’s work today.
